Courtney Mohler is an FEI dressage trainer who has earned her USDF Bronze, Silver, and half of her “Gold” medals aboard her self-trained horse, Dutch Enough. Her teaching and training style is tailored to each individual partnership with a plethora of classical exercises to help every rider achieve a harmonious relationship with their horse. Her training program focuses on achieving lightness and suppleness through a seat focused approach. She enjoys breaking down the training process into understandable pieces that allows a clear progression forward for any level of rider. She is a firm believer that “Dressage is for every horse.” Correct training can benefit any breed, type, or discipline of horse. Improved balance and self-carriage is immensely important for any partnership. Courtney has been riding since she was born and was lucky enough to grow up in a horse-loving family. Courtney has had extensive opportunities to clinic and train with her own horses and client owned horses. Some of her favorites and most influential clinicians: Charles De Kunffy, Jessica Jo “JJ” Tate, Richard Malmgren, Jeremy Steinberg, Jim Kofford, and Robert Zandvoort. She enjoys continuing her education and plans to pursue hosting top clinicians who have a shared “horse-first”, kind, and empathetic approach in their training principles.

Amatey Wensel is an assistant dressage trainer at Rockgate Equestrian who has earned her Bronze and Silver medals aboard her Hanoverian gelding, Furst Klasse. From cavaletti to trail riding, she enjoys using a variety of cross-training activities to keep the equine athlete happy. She believes in riding purposefully with a plan, using various exercises to help the rider progress toward their training goals in achievable steps. Dressage can absolutely improve every horse and it is so fun to see the incremental changes in a horse’s physical and mental condition and the joy it brings the rider to be able to progress up the training scale.
Amatey grew up riding horses informally, and the last decade has dedicated time and passion towards becoming the kind of rider she admires. To this end she has trained for years with Carsten Meyer and Frederick Magazzeni, as well as cliniced with Jeremy Steinberg, Alfredo Hernandez, Natalie Lamping and Christian Garweg. In the spring of 2022, she had the incredible opportunity to travel to Wellington and train with Sabine Schut-Kery: “I still can’t believe I got to lesson with an Olympian, and it only reinforced how important the basics are and that it always comes back to that”.
Her list of accomplishments includes multiple champion and reserve championship rides at Region 9 Championships, twice winning Adult Amateur Equitation Final, a trip to the US Dressage Finals in 2019, and competing in her first CDI in April of 2021.
